Q:  Why should I use Clean&Safe® instead of canvas drop cloths, rosin paper or plastic drop cloths?
A:  Clean&Safe® offers a combination of benefits not found with other surface protection products:
  • The skid resistance of Clean&Safe® provides jobsite security to both you and your customers.
  • Because it is absorbent, leak-proof and lightweight, not only can you count on Clean&Safe® to supply effective tile and hardwood floor protection, stair protection and carpet protection – it is also a safe and easy solution for protecting any surface!
  • Clean&Safe® is also reusable, making it both economical and eco-friendly.

Q:  How long can I leave Clean&Safe® down?

A:  Clean&Safe® is safe for all existing surfaces for the duration of the job.  Since there is no adhesive on the backing, you do not have to be concerned with residue transfer.  If the floor is continuing to dry and/or cure then it is best to use SurfacePro®, our breathable surface protection.
Q:  How can I increase my profit by using Clean&Safe®?
A:  Less Prep Work = Lower Labor Costs:
  • Clean&Safe® is lightweight, flexible and reverse wound - making it quick & easy to roll out.
  • Taping Clean&Safe® down is not required – it lies flat and will not slip, giving superior floor protection.

     Reusable = Lower Supply Costs:

  • Our surface protection products are very durable and may be used over and over.  The length of use will depend on the job and your personal preferences. To make a one-time use economical, consider pricing it into the quote and leaving it behind for your customer to use as floor protection while moving furniture or as an all-purpose drop cloth.

Skid-Resistant Backing = Fewer Slips = Lower Workman’s Comp Expenses.

Leak Proof Backing = Easy Clean-up of Spills = Fewer Repairs Costs.

Q:  Can I use Clean&Safe® for Stair Protection?
A:  Clean&Safe® works great on stairs!  You can simply tuck the runner on each stair tread or tape the edges with masking tape or painter’s tape. You can also secure the runner by stapling just under the nose of each tread.

Q:  How can I use Clean&Safe® for Carpet Protection?
A:  For low pile carpet use Clean&Safe® as you would for any other hard floor protection.  For plush carpet, use a double layer of Clean&Safe® with the plastic sides together, leaving one layer of fibers on top for absorbency and one layer on the bottom to grip the carpet.  When the job is complete, separate the layers and continue to use Clean&Safe® as a single layer surface protection.

Q:  Do I need to tape Clean&Safe® down the way I do other surface protection products?
A:  No!  Because it lies flat and is skid-resistant , there is generally no need to tape Clean&Safe®.  For covering wider areas, simply join two or more sections with an overlap of 3 to 5 inches to establish an overlapping seam – Clean&Safe® will not slide on itself when weight is applied.  Although taping is not required, you may still desire an absolute seal which may be acquired by taping the seams on the fiber sides of the product with masking tape or painter’s tape.  When your job is complete, just remove the tape and continue to use Clean&Safe® as a surface protection runner.

Q:  Can I use Clean&Safe® on surfaces other than floors?
A:  YES!  In addition to providing excellent floor protection, stair protection and carpet protection, Clean&Safe® protects countertops, bathtubs, cabinets, furniture, fixtures and much more!  It comes in a variety of sizes to meet your specific surface protection needs.  For counter protection, we suggest the 24” wide roll; the 32” wide roll works great for hallway and stair protection while the 40” and 48” wide rolls will cover a larger area in no time.  Clean&Safe® protects everything from anything!

Q:  How much does it cost?
A:  In comparison to other surface protection products, Clean&Safe® is priced very competitively when all its benefits and attributes are considered.  The delivered cost of Clean&Safe® begins at about 27 cents per square foot.  For more information on pricing and sizes, please refer to the Order Form.

Q:  I need a white drop cloth.  Is Clean&Safe® available in white?
A:  Yes!  White Clean&Safe® is available in 40” and 80” widths.  Please refer to the Order Form for details.

Q:  What is the best way to get Clean&Safe® clean during or after a job?
A:  Clean&Safe® may be lightly vacuumed, rinsed or simply shaken out.

Q:  Should I use Clean&Safe®, Clean&Safe®Pro or SurfacePro®?
A:  Clean&Safe® and Clean&Safe®Pro are the most effective and economical solutions for all surfaces that do not need to dry or cure.  They are great multi-purpose drop cloths that offer leak-proof surface protection.  In addition, Clean&Safe®Pro can be broom cleaned or vacuumed, making clean-up even easier!  However, if you are looking for newly finished hardwood, stone or tile floor protection you should use our breathable surface protection, SurfacePro® which will allow the floors to cure while you are workingSurfacePro® is also the best surface protection solution when you are working in a humid or non-climate controlled site as it will allow the moisture to escape.
