Is SurfacePro® skid-resistant? |
| A: Yes. SurfacePro® is skid-resistant
when weight is applied. |
| Q:
Do you need to tape it? |
| A: Generally there is no need to tape. SurfacePro® lays flat on the floor and is skid-resistant. For wider coverage,
two or more widths can be rolled out side-by-side with an overlap
of 3 to 5 inches to establish an overlapping seam that, when
weight is applied, will not slide on itself. However, if you
still prefer an absolute seal you can tape the seam with masking
tape, painter’s tape, or duct tape. Both the masking and
painter’s tape can be removed so that you can continue
to use SurfacePro® as a runner. |
| Q:
Is SurfacePro® leak-proof? |
| A: No, SurfacePro® is not leak-proof.
It is, however, a denser product that will slow down accidental
spills such as paint and allow for clean up time prior to costly
damage to the surface. SurfacePro® is designed to be BREATHABLE so that the surfaces of newly finished
hardwood floors or newly installed stone/tile can cure and dry
while work continues. |
| Q:
When should I use SurfacePro® vs. Clean&Safe®? |
| A: SurfacePro® is recommended if
you have a newly finished hardwood floor that is still drying.
It can be applied as soon as the surface is dry to the touch,
i.e. “stocking-feet” dry. SurfacePro® is also recommended for stone/tile where the grout is still
curing. It will provide breathable protection for the still
vulnerable surfaces allowing work to continue. This is the major
benefit of SurfacePro®, as it
helps to avoid costly waiting and job completion is accelerated.
For all surfaces that don’t need to dry or cure Clean&Safe®,
is the less costly solution. |
